Position Summary
The Director, Value Added Services “VAS” is a commercially driven role, focusing on the product development/promotion of our key value-added services. This role’s primary responsibilities are to become a product expert with each VAS, execute the sales strategy by product, support/train the organization to sell each product, and to perform detailed analysis in accordance with key metrics and areas of opportunity. This position is cross-functional and will have regular contact with internal teams such as Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Care, and Trade. The role will also engage in direct contact with external clients to further promote our VAS offerings.
Coupled with the above the role will also plays a key role in expanding wallet share for the CMA CGM Group from existing CMA CGM customers via introduction to CEVA Logistics ( CROSS SELL Management)
Functions & Duties
• Serve as the subject matter expert on the products in order to educate and promote product awareness in CCA as well as communicate products directly to customers. Act as a resource to outside sales and inside sales regarding the VAS.
• Build internal collaboration to initiate progress. Work with inside/outside sales to collaborate and drive the VAS products.
• Provide product support to the organization (training/information resource). Train various groups internally, i.e. inside/outside sales and trade to spread awareness and gain traction on each product.
• Determine focus areas of product implementation. Determine where the products can be used by reviewing and analyzing sales and customer data. Maintain customer information to support and promote use of VAS.
• Perform Detailed Analysis – Focus on Performance and Areas of Opportunity. Review against budget to determine if we are meeting the required metrics. Explain successes and failures and determine action plans.
• Develop Product Plan per VAS and Drive Sales Initiatives.
• Face to Face Client Interactions on a monthly basis. Travel required monthly
• Collaborate with CMA CGM Commercial and CEVA Business Development to deliver performance aligned with organizational expectations.
• Promote internal education and awareness relevant to CEVA capabilities and cross-sell opportunities across departments.
• Provide proactive performance analysis and insight to leadership, explaining over/underperformance with actionable solutions.
• Drive the development and positioning of cross-sell opportunities across product lines and services
• Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.
