Finance Generalist Supervisor - CMA CGM Mauritania

Your Role

 

As Finance Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing the agency’s financial operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager and functionally to the Cluster Chief Financial Officer, you will ensure that all financial activities are compliant, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.Through your leadership, you will help safeguard the agency’s financial performance, support informed decision-making, and contribute to its long-term success and operational continuity.

 

What are you going to do ?

 

  • Collaborate with various departments such as operations and logistics to ensure seamless operations through effective supervision of accounting and financial activities, including treasury management, collections, supplier payments, and tax compliance.
  • Guarantee the reliability and compliance of the financial reports generated by the agency's accounting platform with local regulations and internal procedures.
  • Serve as a reference point for external entities such as financial institutions, tax authorities, and legal auditors, ensuring transparent and accurate communication.
  • Facilitate the adherence to Group financial rules and procedures, managing customer collections, treasury functions, and working capital logistics efficiently.
  • Assist management in building and monitoring the budget, acting as a vital business partner in all development initiatives undertaken by the entity.
  • Propose and implement actions to achieve performance targets (KPI) set by the Group, contributing actively to the optimisation of financial processes.
  • Ensure the correct application of internal control rules and promptly notify relevant parties of any compliance or potential fraud issues.

 

Who are we looking for ?

 

  • Preferably a mester's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Control, Audit, Financial Management, or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in a similar position within an international environment .
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial and accounting methodologies.
  • Strong grasp of internal control principles and their practical implementation in everyday operations.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and deductive reasoning skills to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • A proactive problem-solving mindset that effectively addresses financial challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and communication capabilities for effective team management and stakeholder interaction.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and French is mandatory, enabling clear communication and effective reporting with local, regional, and Head Office teams.
