YOUR ROLE
The Sales development professional is responsible for prospecting and acquiring new customers by actively engaging with potential clients outside the office or company premises. You build relationships, organize meetings and present product or service offers to promote revenue growth and expand the company’s client portfolio.
WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO
- Participate in the establishment of the commercial action plan.
- Plan and conduct sales visits and phone calls according to the agency’s sales segmentation (sales visits for external sales/ phone calls for internal sales).
- Promote the services of the CMA CGM Group and non-maritime products (e-commerce, VAS, intermodal, CEVA...)
- Identify commercial market opportunities, develop market share, and/or improve revenue according to the business strategy.
- Update sales data and customer feedback in the CRM (formerly Opportunists, leads, contacts)
- Achieve the SVPC (Sales Visits Phone Calls) targets and the qualita
- tive objectives monitored in Analytics
- Relay customer pricing requests to sales support, relay other customer requests to customer service.
- • Specialize in a specific type of client (FFW / BCO) or in import/export (for clients who do both, keep a sales team that handles import and export), by location, by merchandise, or by commercial specificity (for example, X-trade).
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Preferably Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) specializing in Transport and Logistics, Marketing and Sales, Economics and Management, or Statistics
- At least five (03) years of professional experience in a similar role with proven results
- Solid knowledge of the shipping industry and significant experience in liner shipping
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex business scenarios to customers and management
- Demonstration of professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to manage stress through challenging situations
- Analytical mindset with ability to use data to dive decision making
- High levels of rigor, organization, proactivity, self-control, punctuality, interpersonal skills, boldness, creativity, leadership, communication, and influence.
- Excellent négociation skills
- Bilingual fluency in French and English,
