1. Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy Operations & Digital Transformation Intern to join our team for a high-impact project. The primary goal of this internship is to modernize our data handling processes. You will be responsible for converting manual, time-consuming reporting tasks into automated, high-visibility dashboards, directly contributing to the operational efficiency of our shipping services.
2. Core Responsibilities
• Data Automation: Audit current manual data entry processes and develop automated workflows to reduce human error and save time.
• Dashboard Development: Design and implement interactive dashboards to monitor critical shipping KPIs (e.g., vessel performance, port congestion, or service reliability).
• Tool Integration: Utilize various IT tools to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple maritime platforms.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations team to understand their reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Training & Handover: Create simple documentation to ensure the team can maintain and update the dashboards after the internship period.
3. Technical Requirements
• Data Visualization: High proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Advanced Excel: Mastery of Power Query, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas (VBA/Macros knowledge is a plus).
• Data Management: Basic understanding of SQL or data structures.
• Coding (Optional): Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation is an advantage.
4. Education & Soft Skills
• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of Data Science, IT, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical data to non-technical staff.
• A proactive, "self-starter" attitude.
