YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the agency’s intermodal department and contributing to the optimization and development of CMA CGM’s activities in Congo. In this role, you will conduct technical and marketing studies to propose new logistics solutions (dry port or terminals). You will also contribute to the development of new products in collaboration with other Group entities and partners.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO
- Develop and implement intermodal and land transport strategies to optimize cost, efficiency, and network coverage;
- Be responsible for the agency’s intermodal performance, meeting headquarters’ logistics and intermodality KPIs, and implementing corrective actions when necessary;
- Supervise daily operations of intermodal shipments and land logistics services, including freight order preparation, dispatch, and transport monitoring;
- Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives;
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and environmental regulations;
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance and cost analysis;
- Negotiate with carriers and service providers to obtain competitive rates, reliable services, and capacity aligned with CMA CGM policies;
- Ensure the application of sourcing processes and best practices defined with headquarters’ intermodal procurement;
- Maintain contracts and tariff tables in corporate tools;
- Promote innovation in intermodal and land logistics solutions to support sustainability goals, including “green” alternatives (rail, barge, alternative‑fuel trucks);
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities in intermodal logistics and report the benefits;
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Finance) to align operational objectives and support sales in marketing intermodal products/services;
- Liaise with regional and headquarters teams on strategy, reporting, and process improvement.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) with a specialization in Transport & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
- Good knowledge of Shipping activities;
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in intermodal or land logistics operations;
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations, market trends, and best practices in procurement;
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English (part of the interview will be conducted in English);
- Perfect command of MS Office and ERP systems.
