YOUR ROLE :

The role of Sales Management Director is pivotal to the achievement of CMA CGM's commercial objectives within the Republic of Congo. As a prominent leader in the Sales Network division, you will have the responsibility to supervise, manage, and expertly guide the Agency’s Sales Department, ensuring that established goals are not only met but exceeded. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ? :

  • Develop and execute innovative strategies aimed at enhancing CMA CGM's volumes and market shares for imports and exports within the Republic of Congo, ensuring activities align with the budget set forth by the headquarters.
  • Engage in close collaboration with the General Management, shipping lines, and the Regional Office Africa to effectively formulate and define the Agency’s commercial strategy.
  • Champion the digital transformation across service offerings, implementing e-commerce initiatives, while promoting internal systems like NOVA, AQUA, and DATAWAYS to enhance service provision for clients.
  • Identify, design, and implement streamlined commercial processes to elevate the quality of services provided, thereby boosting productivity across the Agency.
  • Develop innovative intermodal transport solutions and manage direct Bill of Lading (BL) for all transport modes originating from and going to Brazzaville and other regions including Kinshasa, Cabinda, and Bangui.
  • Implement and grow Value Added Services (VAS) to create enhanced offerings for clients, driving additional revenue streams and maintaining competitive advantage.
  • Prepare comprehensive commercial studies and insightful reports to facilitate regular reviews and refinements of strategies, ensuring alignment with market trends and organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care and Finance teams to advance initiatives focused on improving IDLE FULL and streamlining collection processes, thus ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement an effective training plan tailored to develop skills and improve performance amongst team members, ensuring alignment with the Agency's strategic objectives.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? : 

  • Master's degree in International Trade, Transport Logistics, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience, including at least three years in a managerial position within a commercial maritime function at an agency, headquarters, or correspondents; experience within the CMA CGM Group is particularly advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of the maritime environment and its operations.
  • Ability to implement the commercial policy established by the Group and achieve market share objectives by designing a marketing plan that reflects local realities.
  • Proven record in commercial management or sales leadership, ideally within the logistics and transportation sectors.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a track record of developing actionable plans that drive revenue growth.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and influence across various organisational levels.
  • Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team of at least five individuals effectively.
  • Proactive individual with excellent relational and persuasion skills to foster strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Fluent in both French and English, ensuring effective communication within a multicultural workplace.
  • Proficiency in utilising digital tools and technologies to enhance commercial processes and client offerings, ensuring operational excellence.
