As an Agency Trade Analyst Manager, you will play a central role in enabling commercial performance by building and leading the analytical engine of the Trade function. You will ensure that high quality data, consistent reporting, and structured insights drive better decision, direction setting, and position taking in one of the world’s leading global shipping organisations.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the Benelux cluster organisation, CMA CGM is looking for an Agency Trade Analyst Manager to strengthen the analytical capability within the Commercial department.
The Trade Analyst Manager leads the centralised Trade Analyst team and is responsible for defining, standardising, and delivering all trade performance reporting and analysis across the cluster. The role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and relevance, enabling Trade Managers to focus on trade steering, and strategy execution.
Working in close partnership with Trade Managers, Sales, and internal stakeholders, the Trade Analyst Manager is pivotal in transforming Benelux Cluster Trade into a more data driven, scalable, and insight-led function.
The key responsibilities of the Trade Analyst Manager are devided as such :
- Lead and manage the cluster Trade Analyst team, ensuring consistent performance, quality, and delivery standards
- Define and own the Trade analytical operating model, including reporting structure, KPIs, data standards, and governance
- Oversee the production of all trade reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
- Act as quality gate for all analytical outputs delivered to Trade Managers and Head of Agency Trade Management
- Prioritise and allocate analyst workload across trades, ensuring optimal utilisation, scalability, and backup coverage for Analyst & Manager duties
- Drive standardisation of reporting formats, tools, and processes across all trades
- Develop and maintain structured performance tracking, incl.:
- vessel and/or customer allocation tracking
- trade & customer performance
- forecast vs actual analysis
- Lead market and trade analysis, including commodity trends, corridor performance, and geographical market insights
- Support Trade Managers by translating business needs into clear, actionable analytical outputs
- Drive continuous improvement, including automation and simplification of reporting processes
- Coach and develop Trade Analysts, strengthening both technical analysis and business interpretation capability
- Support the evolution of the Trade function towards a more data‑driven, insight‑led, and scalable operating model
- Presence for this role is shared across both Antwerp & Rotterdam offices

- Strong demonstrated ability to lead & develop a team, setting clear standards and driving accountability
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to structure, interpret, and simplify complex data
- High attention to detail combined with a pragmatic, outcome-focused mindset
- Strong organisational & prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple trades and competing deadlines
- Clear and effective communication skills, translating analysis into actionable insights
- Process-oriented mindset with a focus on standardisation and continuous improvement
