ABOUT THE ROLE

The Customer Service Officer pro-actively manages the releases and/or delivery of incoming cargo to final receivers. They are capable of handling all queries from customers, terminals, customs and other CMA CGM departments. They are also able to multitask within the various Import Customer Service teams.

The key responsibilities of the Customer Service Officer are divided as such :

• Administrative activities concerning the processing, documentation and handling of all incoming cargo
• Maintaining contact with customers, hauliers, HO, stevedore, agents, customs and other departments
• Reviewing, improving and implementing work procedures and company policies as well as updating the customer profile
   

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Excellent knowledge of the Dutch & English language
• Some work experience within customer service roles
• Excellent knowledge op MS Office package
• Good communication skills (oral & written)
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
• A logic approach to problem solving
• Customer-focused & Pro-active
