As part of its growth and development, CMA CGM Holland is looking for a Local Key Account Manager -Inside to join its Global Sales department, in the Commercial pillar.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The LKAM is responsible for the business of a portfolio of Global Sales accounts (Global Accounts and/or International Freight Forwarders) in the Netherlands. The LKAM participates at the country level in building account plans for each customer within the portfolio. Portfolio size approx. 25 accounts (segmentation Strategic Accounts and Large Global).
The key responsibilities of the LKAM includes:
- Ensure account performance, at country level, meeting customer awards and addressing market changes in coordination with GKAM.
- Act as an escalation point for commercial issues at country level.
- Contribute to growth strategy and budget for each account together with GKAM.
- Monitor accounts at country level, detect and develop business opportunities (in NOVA) in the portfolio (with the support of the GKAM).
- Communicate internally on accounts’ evolution with GKAM and contribute to value propositions and ideas.
- Plan and conduct commercial visits / calls to promote CMA-CGM group services and products.
- Prepare and participate in Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews country level as requested.
- Responsible for the local (country level) top-to-top relationship with the accounts
- Develop strategic partnerships with customers at country level – in coordination with Global Key Account managers.
- Enhance group competitive advantage through market feedback on rates, competition and conditions.
- Providing forecasts at country level for the accounts.
- Contribute with the GKAM and internal stakeholders (customer care, service delivery, ILS etc) to secure delivery of customer requirements.
- Manage that valid and updated credit agreements are always in place for those customers eligible for credit terms.
- Ensure high quality information track in CRM system, NOVA, for the allocated customers.
- Report on results, developments and sales activities on a regular basis to local Sales Management.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in English and Dutch
- High degree of decision quality and problem-solving skills
- Customer focused and result driven
- Good communication skills (oral & written)
- Strong negotiation skills, able to close sales
- Proficient in use of MS Office software, preferable proficient in CRM system NOVA (based on Salesforce
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum bachelor’s degree or proven similar working level
- Working experience 2-10 years, in a commercial role – preferable within logistics
- English language minimum C1 level
- Dutch language minimum B2 – willing to advance to C1
