Business Development Specialist, Asia - India Subcon

Role Overview
In this role, you will support the Asia–India Subcontinent Trade by coordinating and overseeing services within your assigned portfolio, working closely with stakeholders across the organization. You will also generate and analyze trade reports, develop marketing materials and customer advisories, and manage allocations, trade routes, and other operational activities.

 
Key Responsibilities

  • Generate trade reports (e.g., market capacity, demand, market share, service booklets) and provide data analysis and market insights
  • Monitor and track competitor activities, including service offerings, rotations, vessel deployment, and blank sailings
  • Produce marketing flyers, customer advisories (for new services, service changes, or blank sailings), and other marketing materials as required
  • Maintain line-instructed routing, including updates for new services or service changes, and handle routing-related enquiries
  • Maintain vessel line-ups, BSA tables, and trade allocations, and resolve cargo flow and operational matters
  • Support the annual budgeting process and assist with ad hoc presentations and studies as needed

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to details/numbers that enables incumbent to monitor multiple streams of information and provide analysis
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills for producing marketing materials and able to coordinate with various departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Powerpoint, and in-depth understanding of Excel formulas and other data analysis tools
