Business Development Specialist

Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for driving customer acquisition and retention within the region through targeted engagement initiatives, while building and maintaining strong relationships with key local customers. You will also ensure that regional commercial activities are aligned with head office–driven sales initiatives to capture emerging opportunities. This includes achieving share-of-wallet growth KPIs and year-on-year improvements, participating in customer meetings to build rapport and address business needs, promptly resolving or escalating customer queries to ensure satisfaction, accurately documenting customer interactions and follow-ups within the stipulated timeframe, and ensuring the timely submission of reports to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, including developing existing accounts and acquiring new customers.
- Engage directly with clients, addressing their needs and gathering feedback to improve offerings.
- Support regional sales strategy execution and collaborate with trade teams.
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting and communication of customer interactions.
- Actively engage in customer meetings, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure timely and effective follow-up to support account retention and growth.
- Gather and relay customer feedback to improve service and product offerings to the agencies
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of Accelerator performance Data for internal strategy and growth analysis
- Timely in preparing customer’s booking reporting as per customers’ requirement and KPI monthly / quarterly business review reporting
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years business development/sales experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint etc)
- Strong analytical skills, solutioning mindset, interpersonal and communication skills
- Experienced in business development, strategic planning, and relationship management.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to represent the agency effectively.
- Relevant industry experience is highly desirable.
