Role Summary

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Regional CIO to lead the APAC technology strategy and execution. This is a high-impact executive leadership role that blends strategic influence with operational excellence, driving digital transformation, innovation, and business growth across diverse markets. The successful candidate will shape the future of technology in the region, aligning global direction with local execution, and positioning IT as a true business enabler.

 

Reporting To: APAC Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Governance:

  • Align IT initiatives with business objectives; drive technology-enabled growth, efficiency, and sustainability; ensure robust governance across portfolio, budget, and architecture.
  • Serve as a core member of the APAC Senior Leadership Team (SLT), influencing strategic decisions and positioning IT as a key business enabler.

Digital Transformation & Innovation:

  • Lead regional digital strategy; enhance customer experience and operational performance; foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Regional & Global Alignment:

  • Translate global IT strategy into regional execution; adapt frameworks to local market needs; collaborate with global and regional stakeholders.

Technology Operations & Enablement:

  • Oversee IT infrastructure and systems; ensure scalability, reliability, and cybersecurity; optimize technology platforms.

People & Stakeholder Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team; engage internal and external stakeholders; communicate technology vision to executive leadership.

Performance & Value Delivery:

  • Define KPIs; ensure IT investments deliver measurable business value; improve delivery models and vendor performance.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • 20+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
  • 10+ years in a regional/global CIO, CTO, or equivalent role
  • Proven success in digital transformation within multinational organizations ideally with experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain preferred
  • Strong understanding of APAC market dynamics and regulatory environments
  • Expertise in cloud, data/analytics, cybersecurity, and automation
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to influence executive and board-level decisions
