Global Alliance and Partnership Specialist

Summary:
To contribute to the contractual and financial oversight of liner partnerships established between ocean vessel carriers, acting as the first line of defence to safeguard the group's commercial and financial interests. This role supports the administration and enforcement of partnership agreements, conducts strategic analyses, and ensures operational and contractual consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnership Agreement Administration & Governance
- Support the Alliance & Partnership Manager in administering partnership agreements, ensuring proper implementation and anticipating potential financial and operational impacts.
- Participate in negotiations with partners and contribute to the drafting, review, and formalization of contractual agreements.
- Act as coordinator for all partnerships within scope, providing guidance and support to junior team members.
- Advise internal departments on contract interpretation and implementation, disseminating key information and coordinating with support functions.
Allocation Monitoring & Performance Reporting
- Monitor and control allocations, including overloading and space imbalance, preparing regular performance reports.
- Produce statistical analyses and reports related to contracts, interpreting data to support decision-making.
- Develop management tools to support activity monitoring and decision-making.
- Conduct ongoing contractual monitoring, ensuring consistency between contractual commitments and operational execution.
Financial Oversight & Claims Management
- Track the financial status of contracts, including invoicing, disputes, collections, partners' disbursements, and cash flow forecasts.
- Act as first line of defense in schedule disruptions (e.g., port omissions), contributing to the apportionment of responsibilities.
- Prepare and follow up on claims and compensation with partners.
- Ensure accurate and timely follow-up on the scope of responsibility.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Control, or a related field, or graduation from a Business School.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the shipping industry.
- Comfortable with digital IT tools and MS Office, particularly advanced Excel functions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, rigor, and reliability.
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with multiple internal stakeholders, external agents, and other shipping lines.
- Ability to influence across the organization.
- Proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented.
