Summary:
In this role, you will be reporting to the Trade Manager and be responsible for the overall commercial activities of your assigned Area for the North European and MED, excl. NAF market. Together with your team, you fill the vessels with the most profitable cargo. To perform well in the role, you will need to have strong analytical and communication skills.
Main Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities are to enhance the market share and achieve the budget for your Area based on the below:
Market intelligence / Data Analysis (30%)
- Collate market feedback, analyze data
- Monitor closely on the supply & demand of the market
- Prepare reports, market research, and perform other tasks as required by Management
- Provide maximum visibility on the market situation to the Management
Performance monitoring (30%)
- Monitor and analyze vessel performance
- Monitor whole vessel utilization closely and guide front line offices to achieve the ideal cargo mix (optimization of both allocations and revenue)
- Monitor country’s lifting performance (including customer profiling) closely to ensure weekly vessel allocation has been fully utilized
- Work closely with the Agency network to grow and diversify their customer pipelines
- Analyze and challenge the performance of each client as well as deviations from the business target
- Handle large databases and make ‘Big Data’ type analysis
Pricing (30%)
- Assist with the establishment of a pricing policy based on market intelligence and performance in compliance with the Group policy
- Provide timely pricing information to agencies and clients (floating and fixed contracts)
- Ensure all contracts and rate filings are implemented and executed in conformance to our contract clauses as well as make sure rate filings are consistent in our in-house system.
External Business Stakeholders Management (10%)
- Proactive communication with external stakeholders for the purpose of rate enquiries, tendering, local practices etc.
- Relationship management with stakeholders, front line offices, conferences, and customer meetings.

Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in business, maritime / logistic or supply chain related studies
- 3 years and above of working experience in related industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (specifically with VLOOKUP, pivot table & etc.) is preferred
- Knowledge of the logistics/supply chain industry is an advantage
