About the Role:

Work Location: Pyrmont, Sydney

 

As State Manager - NSW, you will Lead and develop the NSW Sales team to drive revenue growth, market share, and customer retention for ANL/CMA CGM. Responsible for securing new business, managing key customer relationships, achieving sales targets and forecasts, and implementing state and regional sales strategies. Collaborate closely with Commercial, Operations, and Marketing teams to deliver exceptional customer service, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen ANL/CMA CGM's position as a preferred shipping partner in the market.

 

The role and responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead a high-performing NSW sales team to drive revenue, volume, and market share growth.
  • Develop and execute commercial sales strategies to grow existing accounts and win new business.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key customers and strategic industry partners.
  • Identify market opportunities, competitor activity, and drive proactive business development initiatives.
  • Deliver pricing, revenue, and sales performance outcomes aligned with business targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality customer service and operational excellence.
  • Represent a global shipping leader and drive growth across a dynamic logistics market.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 

  • Extensive experience in sales leadership, ideally within shipping, logistics, or freight.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Strong customer focus with a strategic and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering results under pressure.
     

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
New Zealand citizens planning to relocate permanently to Sydeney, Australia, are more than welcome to apply.
