1. Develop and implement trade strategies for the assigned country and trade lane, in alignment with regional priorities and global business objectives. Partner closely with Regional Offices and Headquarters to define pricing positioning, market direction, and commercial priorities.
2. Drive commercial growth by developing and executing sales strategies to achieve or exceed market targets, including container volume, revenue, logistics solutions, and value-added services.
3. Maximize vessel utilization and profitability by securing optimal cargo mix, managing space allocation effectively, and applying yield management principles to enhance overall trade performance.
4. Optimize product offerings for the assigned market by balancing customer requirements, operational feasibility, and internal efficiency, while identifying opportunities to enhance service competitiveness.
5. Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis, including pricing trends, customer behavior, capacity developments, and competitor activities, and translate insights into actionable commercial recommendations.
6. Prepare trade performance analyses, sales forecasts, market studies, and business reports to support management decision-making and monitor business performance.
7. Coordinate closely with shipping lines, Regional Office, Head Office, and commercial teams on pricing policies, allocation management, routing strategies, and trade execution to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
8. Escalate pricing, routing, capacity, or operational issues to shipping lines and relevant stakeholders when required, and support issue resolution to safeguard business performance.
