Customer Service Specialist Japan
Join CMA CGM JAPAN K.K., a leader in global shipping and logistics, as a Customer Service Specialist within our dedicated Customer Service Division. This is a key customer-facing role responsible for delivering excellent service to our valued customers.
As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for customer care, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Your expertise and commitment will directly contribute to maintaining CMA CGM's reputation for excellence and building long-term relationships with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound and outbound communications with customers, providing timely and accurate information regarding shipping schedules, documentation, and operational processes.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams including operations, sales, and logistics to resolve customer requests and concerns efficiently.
- Process customer orders, amendments, and claims with attention to detail and responsiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of shipping regulations, CMA CGM services, and market conditions relevant to Japan.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and contribute ideas to enhance service delivery.
- Document and track customer interactions in the company’s customer relationship management (CRM) system to ensure transparency and continuity.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in customer service, preferably within shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding sectors.
- Fluency in Japanese and English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with local and international stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex requests patiently and professionally.
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail, with capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using IT tools and CRM platforms for managing customer interactions and documentation.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and commitment to upholding CMA CGM’s values and service standards.
