Service Delivery Specialist Japan

Join CMA CGM JAPAN K.K. as a Service Delivery Specialist in our dynamic Service Delivery division, supporting our Shipping - Customer Care activities within the Documentation Export department. This role is central to ensuring seamless service operations and excellent customer experience tailored to the Japan market.

About the Role

As a Service Delivery Specialist Japan, you will act as a key liaison between our customers, operational teams, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery that aligns with the company’s standards and customer expectations. Your primary focus will be on managing export documentation processes efficiently, addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to service delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the export documentation process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the Japanese shipping market.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including sales, operations, and customer care to coordinate service delivery and resolve any service-related issues expeditiously.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in Japan, providing clear communication, service updates, and proactive issue resolution to maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Monitor service performance through metrics and KPIs, identifying trends or areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Support the development and refinement of documentation processes and customer care standards by gathering feedback and sharing best practices within the team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and market developments affecting documentation and export operations in Japan.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance professional skills and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces teamwork. Fluency in Japanese and English is essential to facilitate effective communication with local clients and multinational colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in shipping, logistics, or export documentation, particularly within the Japanese market.
  • Strong understanding of export regulations, customs procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and the capacity to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Proficiency with documentation management systems and standard office software.
