Role
To collect, complete and co-ordinate the analysis of market & Intermodal Intelligence data as well as commercial animation / co-ordination
Responsibilities:
- Monitor TBL operations and assist with commercial developments of the corridor – promote new products and opportunities and seek additional business.
- Ensure that all HO regulations are followed in accordance with the local regulations to avoid contradictions (i.e. Military cargo)
- Verify reports of idle containers (TBL) and take actions accordingly.
- Assess performance from service providers and report inconsistencies if any.
- Make sure Door Deliver costs are well captured. If not, to address issue to FPOD
- Address to FPOD or POL on any extra costs accrued (storage/overweight/escort/customs fine 5% value/etc)
- Make sure all extra costs are well captured prior release of goods
- Check, verify and accept all invoices from main service providers
- Assist to issue consignment releases from Lara
- Supervise and make sure Green Light is given in writing from FPOD offices
- Send forecast to transporters once a week
- Send out weekly tracking to all customers
- Check with POL and FPOD on all idle containers
- Supervise service providers for speed documentation and push for quick trucking
- Substitute country manager when necessary
- Send weekly TBL updates to ARO/HO
- Follow up equipment tracking performance and quality
- Organize empty repositioning and empty evacuations
- Assist RO in depot service sourcing, procurement, benchmarking and audit
- Depot visit auditory
- Analyze and control estimates
- Approve estimates and send to depot - IMARS
- Track and follow-up on missing repair estimates
- Manage depot survey once a year
- Control and track repair quality according to repair criteria
- Any other reasonably required request in line with the operational requirements of the business
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 required
- Tertiary qualification in a related field will be an added advantage
- Shipping line experience will be an added advantage
- Proficient on Microsoft Office
