YOUR ROLE
At CEVA Logistics in the cluster Benelux-Germany-Switzerland (BNL-DECH), we are looking for a new Head of Business Development for Finished Vehicles Logistics (FVL) business. As a Head of Business Development FVL you will lead the FVL Business Development team and together focus on the acquisition of new customers within the FVL Business Line. You will develop a clear and straightforward “Go to Market” Business Development strategy for FVL that is fully aligned with both product and functional teams. Thanks to your adherence and the success of your team, you ensure profitable business growth and make our business flow!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
As Head of Business Development FVL you will be responsible for seeking and building customer relationships with a focus within the FVL business. You will have the overall pipeline ownership for the cluster and will drive the size, quality, and accuracy of the overall pipeline for FVL. Hit rate for new business wins will be a key metric and therefore you will be the custodian of the project evaluation process to ensure that we focus on the right opportunities. You and your team will be responsible for the delivery of both annualized and traded new business win targets from new and existing customers.
Through collaboration with product and functional teams you will develop customer proposals, that are aligned with the go to market strategy, both proactively and in response to formal requests for quotation.
You will actively network with customers and prospective customers to ensure CEVA is visible and seen as a leading provider within the Benelux ensuring CEVA is considered for all current and future RFQ.
This is a consultative sales role and therefore you will have a deep knowledge of Finished Vehicule Logistics (Automotive) and be able to clearly articulate solutions and concept to customers.
In your role, you are responsible for:
- Leading the Business Development Team of 4 Business Development Managers
- Delivering annualized new business win targets and traded new business targets
- Developing a clear and straightforward Business Development Strategy
- Develop a pipeline for the cluster, this with your direct team for local opportunities or with CEVA BD network (GKAM, RKAM) for larger accounts
- Acquiring new customers within the FVL Business Line
- Developing and driving the commercial pipeline on a sustained basis
- Supporting the FVL Business Line with commercial aspects of organic growth
- Adherence to FVL playbook for Business Development.
You will be based in Ghislenghien (BE) or Oosterhout (NL), with a balanced mix of remote work, on-site or at various locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Germany Regional offices.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager with a strong commercial orientation and a proven winner’s mentality. You have a comprehensive knowledge of FVL Logistics and exhibit adaptability in the context of an evolving, sizable international organization. You can set strategic directions and effectively lead the team, ensuring success.
Specifically, you bring the following experience and qualifications with you:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Development or Sales
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in managing a team
- Professional experience in automotive logistics
- Proficient in written and oral communication in both French/Dutch and English languages.
