YOUR ROLE

The incumbent will be part of a larger team within the Solution and Automation department in providing robotics and automation solutions to support the achievement of operation and business objectives to drive long term sustainable business growth.

 

WHAT ARE YOU DOING

Main areas of focus and accountability of the role – detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:

 

Robotics & Automation Solutions:

  • Lead and support automation and robotics projects from conceptualization through implementation, including scoping, technical design, testing, deployment, and performance monitoring.
  • Support the development of new customers, either with existing client contracts or by supporting the sales team for RFQ, site visits and presentation.
  • Assess Robotics & Automation opportunities across the business and provide cost-benefit analysis for investments required.
  • Level 1 support for implemented robotics and automation systems by providing expertise and initial troubleshooting of systems for operation team.
  • Perform technologies watch and scout technologies that have high potential to solve operation problem statements that are not readily off-the-shelves
  • Set up and support Project Management good practices and methodologies across the department
  • Proactively support the team members in their day-to-day work by providing expertise and insight.

 

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Work with procurement team to manage vendor and system integrator relationships, including the evaluation, negotiation, and administration of contracts and service agreements.
  • Coordinate procurement specifications, implementation timelines, and performance reviews for vendors and solution providers.
  • Monitor and track project deliverables to ensure vendor compliance with technical, quality, and safety requirements.

 

Supporting Intracompany & Outreach Initiatives

  • Liaise with local institutions of higher learning to foster relationships, joint-collaboration and improve visibility of the company with regards to robotics and automation.
  • Support internal communications by preparing content such as case studies, project updates, and innovation newsletters.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

 

  • Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Supply Chain or related field is mandatory.
  • Requires strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability in drafting proposal & businesses cases using ROI or similar metrics
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
  • Experience / knowledge of supply chain, transportation or logistics domains is highly desirable
  • Experience / knowledge of Robotics and Automation, IoT solutions are desirable
  • Experience with data analytics, KPI tracking, and visualization tools is a plus.
  • Passion for technology / tech - savvy
  • Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and support change management initiatives in operational environments.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
