Position Overview
The Operations Specialist at CEVA Servicios de Mexico is an essential member of our 4PL Control Tower division, responsible for orchestrating transportation bookings and ensuring the smooth execution of shipments. This critical role involves managing timely communications and collaboration between carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold high standards in service delivery and optimize logistics flow. The Operations Specialist ensures that every shipment adheres to schedule, cost efficiency, and compliance requirements, thereby supporting both client satisfaction and overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Precisely input and manage booking and shipment data within logistics management systems while maintaining the highest levels of data accuracy and consistency to support operational transparency.
  • Continuously monitor shipment statuses and proactively communicate real-time updates and any potential issues to clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders to anticipate challenges and implement swift solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between carriers and suppliers to resolve operational difficulties, delays, or discrepancies that could affect shipment timelines or quality.
  • Ensure completeness and correctness of all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), invoices, and customs paperwork, verifying compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations to minimize shipment delays and legal risks.
  • Assist in the generation of reports that track shipment performance metrics, cost effectiveness, and key performance indicators (KPIs), utilizing these insights to support continuous improvement initiatives and data-driven decision-making within the Control Tower.
  • Provide operational support during the rollout and scale-up phases of new 4PL contracts, assuring seamless integration and alignment with CEVA's global logistics strategies.
  • Develop and nurture strong professional relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to promote collaborative problem-solving and efficient logistics management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, demonstrating foundational knowledge relevant to global transportation and supply chain management.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years practical experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or supply chain operations, with proven capability in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or similar logistics technology platforms is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of managing complex relationships and resolving operational issues effectively and diplomatically.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills, able to perform effectively under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Advanced proficiency in English is preferred to facilitate seamless interaction with international partners and support global logistics operations.

Additional Information
This role is based in Mexico City, within the Mexico Corp location, reporting to the System Support and Superusers Department. The Operations Specialist will be instrumental in enhancing CEVA Servicios de Mexico’s ability to deliver precise, timely, and compliant logistics services.
