YOUR ROLE
This role is responsible for developing sub-products within the Ground and Rail – LTL & Last Mile network, including both inbound and outbound forwarding. The candidate will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with field sales customers, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to achieving sales targets through effective collaboration and a strong team spirit.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Identify and develop new business opportunities; generate sales leads and formulate tailored solutions based on customer requirements.
- Effectively drive the development of domestic transportation, cross-border logistics, and rail services within appropriate timeframes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure success in business tenders and gather market intelligence for ongoing business evaluation.
- Support the Business Development Manager in all aspects of business maintenance and growth, including the preparation of sales performance reports and market trend analyses.
- Maintain timely and accurate data input in C-VIEW; promptly address customer inquiries and concerns.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to establish SOPs, ensuring smooth operations and minimizing service issues. Address any service failures with immediate response and reporting to mitigate impact.
- Take responsibility for accounts receivable (AR) collection when necessary.
- Proactively identify sales opportunities; conduct sales calls and customer visits within the assigned territory to drive customer acquisition, retention, and account growth.
Adhere to the annual Sales Incentive Plan, meeting minimum sales quotas and achieving assigned KPIs within the required timeframes.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Sales experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent networking and interpersonal judgment
- Self-motivated with a focus on performance and service excellence
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Effective communicator across all functions and levels within the organization
- Professional, mature, and approachable personality; able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
