We are looking for a dedicated Quality Suspervisor to join our Warehouse Operations team within the Logistics Operations division. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the quality management system meets both corporate and customer-specific standards, ultimately contributing to the delivery of superior product quality and customer satisfaction.
The Quality System Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the compliance and continuous improvement of quality processes related to the subassembly of tires. This role liaises across multiple levels of the organization to promote, monitor, and enforce quality requirements and to support various audit programs and training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality System Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to the requirements of the Quality System throughout the organization, facilitating communication and implementation of these requirements.
- Audit Program Coordination: Develop and manage annual audit plans including external audits such as third-party, customer, corporate, and second-party audits of critical suppliers. Coordinate with certification bodies and communicate any status changes affecting audit schedules.
- Internal Auditor Training: Plan, coordinate, and support training sessions for internal auditors on system processes, products, and the use of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans based on applicable standards and customer requirements.
- Measurement Device Control: Administer and validate measurement devices to ensure functionality aligns with customer and quality system demands; halt processes when equipment poses quality risks.
- Customer Requirements Management: Implement, validate, and monitor compliance with customer product and process specifications and escalate any nonconformities regarding customer requirements.
- Document Control: Assist in the creation, review, and updating of process documentation to maintain alignment with client, regulatory, ISO/IATF standards, and corporate quality requirements; approve or reject documents accordingly.
- Assembly Process Approval: Coordinate and supervise process approval activities when required by the client or operational needs and escalate issues threatening the approval integrity.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC): Establish, execute, and support SPC systems where necessary; develop and adjust process controls proactively.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements leveraging Kaizen methodology to enhance efficiency and compliance within the quality system.
- Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR): Conduct monthly verification of the latest CSR versions, deliver updated auditor training, communicate process changes effectively, and ensure implementation of the latest standards.
Additional Role Expectations:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to address quality challenges and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain clear, accessible training records and audit documentation to support transparency and readiness for certification activities.
- Provide leadership in quality initiatives and foster a culture centered on continuous improvement and compliance.
- Prepare and present regular quality performance reports highlighting key findings, risks, and improvement actions to management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in quality management systems, preferably in manufacturing or logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of ISO/IATF standards and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Experience managing internal and external audits and training programs.
- Ability to analyze statistical data and implement SPC effectively.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish and English) are highly desirable to effectively manage communications within the local context and corporate requirements.
