WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO AS EQUIPMENT CONTROLLER?

The focus of the Equipment Controller is on optimizing productivity on technical level and guaranteeing delivery reliability. In the Automation Controller (SCADA-PLC/WCS) position you have a key position within the logistics operation. The Control Room is the beating heart of our logistics operation, from which the central management takes place. The aim of the department is to optimize productivity and guarantee delivery reliability. Your stakeholders consist of your colleagues in the Control Room; our Operations, Process Controlroom specialist and IT Controlroom Specialists. You will report to the Teamlead Controlroom.

As Equipment Controller, you will:

• You drive the technical operational processes based on accurate data;
• You are responsible for incident management and machine failures;
• You monitor the performance on various KPIs and make adjustments where necessary;
• You monitor the building-related management systems;
• You are the first-line support for our operation and the technical team in our warehouse;
• You advise the operation in optimizing the warehouse process flow;
• You are the link between operation and maintenance of our machinery;
• You monitor the overview of the flow on the system and react adequately when adjustments have to be made to the various flows, parameters and stations; and
• You provide the operation and other stakeholders with hourly updates.

WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO WORK?

You’ll be working at our Bleiswijk location, where we have a warehouse no less than 140,000 m². This location handles logistics for Zalando: a major customer in eCommerce, specialized in shoes, clothing, and fashion accessories. Automation is a key focus in this warehouse. You'll become part of the Controlroom Team, which includes other Operational Controlroom Specialists, Process Controlroom Specialists, Equipment Controlroom Specialists, and IT Controlroom Specialists. The atmosphere is characterized by passion and professionalism, with plenty of room for fun and connection! You'll report to the Controlroom Team Lead and work day, evening, and night shifts.

WHY IS THIS ROLE FOR YOU?

Do you recognize yourself in the following qualities?

• A completed degree (mbo-4 level) preferably in engineering, IT or logistics;
• Relevant work experience in a logistics, production or service environment;
• Analytical skills and you have a systematic and structured way of working;
• Good social and contact skills;
• Excellent knowledge of the English language;
• Because public transport opportunities are limited to and from our warehouse, having you own transportation is mandatory;
• Flexible attitude to work in shifts;

• A gross monthly salary between € 2.878 and € 4.187 plus 8% holiday allowance (scale depends on your work experience and education level, among other things);
