CEVA Freight Espana S.L., a key player in the global logistics network, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Forwarding Management Operator to join our Ocean Operations team based in Valencia. This pivotal role focuses on maritime operations within our dynamic Ocean division, playing a crucial part in ensuring efficient and seamless freight forwarding services.

Role Overview:

As a Forwarding Management Operator specialising in maritime operations, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of ocean freight forwarding, ensuring timely and accurate shipment processing from origin to destination. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external carriers, clients, and customs authorities to deliver exceptional service and maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute all ocean freight forwarding operations, including booking, documentation, and shipment tracking.
• Coordinate with shipping lines and carriers to secure space and negotiate competitive rates.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices.
• Monitor shipments to ensure adherence to schedules and proactively address any deviations or issues.
• Collaborate with customs brokers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with national and international maritime regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and documentation to support reporting and audits.
• Provide timely updates and professional communication to clients, internal stakeholders, and partners, fostering strong relationships.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies within the Ocean Operations team.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in ocean freight forwarding or maritime logistics, preferably within a global logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills in English; Spanish language proficiency is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency with freight management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and commitment to service quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt within a diverse, inclusive team setting.
