We are seeking an experienced Inland and Logistics Services Specialist CL to join our Logistics Operations division within CEVA Contract Logistics Mexi, located at Michelin-NL. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operational efficiency and excellence across warehouse and inland logistics services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee the execution of operational processes, ensuring strict adherence to Safe Work Methods and established procedures to maintain a high standard of safety and efficiency.
- Manage and develop personnel through comprehensive training programs, performance evaluations, compensation recommendations, and ongoing performance management to foster a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Continuously analyse operational and storage processes by reviewing results, client feedback, and other relevant information; identify trends, interpret data, and prepare detailed reports with actionable insights, recommendations, and proposals for management consideration.
- Provide support in investigations related to operational and safety conditions, developing practical recommendations to resolve any issues and enhance overall workplace safety and productivity.
- Assist in the planning and development of operational project/program objectives, encompassing budget management, timelines, required materials, staffing, and other project needs; generate reports and present findings to management, with responsibility for managing areas of moderate scope and impact.
- Act as a key liaison by collecting and providing feedback from clients, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring timely and appropriate responses to client requests and concerns.
- Interpret and enforce departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company standards; seek guidance as needed while maintaining operational integrity.
- Monitor and control both internal and external productivity measures and KPIs, utilising data to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
- Develop and implement root cause analysis action plans addressing operational opportunities to enhance efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Effectively manage allocated resources, ensuring the operational area is adequately staffed and equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to execute processes effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in logistics operations, warehouse management, or a related field, demonstrating strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and formulate strategic recommendations.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and operational best practices in warehouse and logistics environments.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with clients and internal teams to foster collaborative relationships and resolve issues.
- Proficiency in monitoring performance indicators and applying data-driven approaches to improve operational outcomes.
