YOUR ROLE 

We are looking for a Transport Planner for our campus in Roosendaal. As a Transport Planner, you are responsible for preparing daily and weekly loading and unloading schedules for our warehouse. You have frequent contact with transporters, your colleagues in the warehouse, customers, and the CEVA cross-dock locations to ensure that products are delivered to customers on time. 

 

With your experience as a Transport Planner, you will not only be responsible for planning the orders together with your team, but you will also act as a point of contact for the Supervisor and the team. You keep the overview, maintain customer relations, set priorities, and shift gears quickly when necessary. You communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you are driven to achieve set goals and enjoy working with your team and colleagues to make this happen. Working hours in this full-time position can be flexibly scheduled between 07:00 and 18:00. You will also alternate with colleagues and be on standby once every five weeks in the evening or on Saturday mornings. 

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

At CEVA Logistics in Roosendaal, we operate several warehouses where we manage the logistics process for various customers. The customer you and your team will support is active in the fashion sector. From our 30,000 m² warehouse, we supply 68 stores across Europe, a dynamic environment where no two days are the same! 

 

In this role, you’ll work in the office area adjacent to the warehouse. This setup is ideal, as it allows you to stay closely connected to your colleagues on the floor and to keep a finger on the pulse of what’s happening operationally. You’ll be part of the Transport Team, which consists of five colleagues. Together, you’re responsible for scheduling carriers based on the daily workload. You maintain oversight and act as the main point of contact for the Supervisor. 

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Maintain close communication with the customer, including during the weekly transport meeting with the customer and your Supervisor;
  • Resolve issues and/or escalations in consultation with relevant stakeholders and colleagues;
  • Analyze carrier performance, internal) customer results, and intermediaries, and develop improvement proposals;
  • Design and implement transport solutions in collaboration with the Carrier Manager of CEVA Ground;
  • Keep all relevant data up to date in the Transport Management System (TMS). 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 
With your proactive mindset and strong communication skills, there’s no problem you can’t solve. You are resilient under pressure, work accurately, and know how to keep up the pace. You’re assertive and capable of working independently, while never losing sight of team spirit. Thanks to your experience, you act as a key link between the team and the Supervisor, ensuring a clear overview of all activities. Finally, you are flexible when it comes to supporting colleagues and adapting your working hours, especially during busy periods. 

 

You will bring the following knowledge and experience: 

  • A minimum of MBO (intermediate vocational education) level of working and thinking;
  • At least 3 years of experience in transport or capacity planning;
  • Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
  • Experience with automated information systems and MS Office;
  • Strong planning skills and a good understanding of logistics.

  • A salary between € 2.884,52 and € 3.918,13 (depending on your work experience and education level), with the opportunity for growth within the pay scale;
  • A one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment;
  • Employment conditions under our own CEVA collective labor agreement, including 25 vacation days and 5 additional days (ADV) for full-time employment;
  • A profit-sharing bonus of up to 3% if company results are positive, and a solid pension plan;
  • A phone and laptop, which may also be used privately;
