YOUR ROLE

Then you might be the person we are looking for to join our Ground & Rail Transport Procurement team as a Senior Buyer at our Assago (MI) office.
Reporting to the Ground & Rail Transportation Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for procurement and negotiation with different carriers in line with business needs for the Ground & Rail business unit.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Negotiate rates and formalize contracts with suppliers;
• Qualify suppliers, manage relationships, and support their development;
• Continuously scout for Italian and foreign suppliers;
• Manage tenders, evaluate offers, and support the Solution Design Team during the comparison phase for the transmission/confirmation of costs for services to be sourced in the market;
• Collaborate in achieving the purchasing budget;

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Diploma or degree;
• At least 5 years of experience as a Buyer, preferably in the Transport and Logistics sector and in structured environments;
• Knowledge of the following segments: express, traction, groupage, last mile, and regional distribution;
• Good knowledge of the Office package, especially Excel and Access;
• Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken;
• Excellent organizational, relational, initiative, and negotiation skills;
• Analytical and problem-solving attitude.
