Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager, ideally with a background of at least 4-5 years, to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will preferably come from another third-party logistics provider (3PL) or have significant experience in the Consumer Retail or E-commerce sectors. However, profiles with relevant skills from diverse industries will also be considered.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all business development activities aimed at acquiring new clients, from market mapping and prospect identification to first contact, visit, and needs analysis, leveraging a solid understanding of logistics models relevant to the sector.
  • Lead the analysis phase and prepare tailored logistics solutions and project proposals that address each client's operational needs.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure contracts are drafted in line with technical and commercial conditions, and in compliance with corporate policies.
  • Work closely with Technical Management to identify the most suitable logistics solutions, considering capacity and requirements expressed by prospects.
  • Expand the client portfolio through proactive business development and continuous monitoring of market trends to identify new growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients by leveraging your network and delivering compelling commercial presentations and targeted offers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee high service quality and customer satisfaction, adapting solutions as needed based on client analysis.
  • Be available to travel nationwide according to business and development needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in business development, preferably in 3PL, Consumer Retail, E-commerce, or related sectors.
  • Solid knowledge of the logistics market and/or retail and e-commerce dynamics.
  • Strong ability to establish and nurture business relationships.
  • Proven track record in developing new business and achieving ambitious sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Based in Assago or in the Lombardy region; willingness to travel nationally according to business needs.
  • Ability to bring an existing network of contacts and established client relationships is highly valued.
