YOUR ROLE

 

Our amazing team based in Solihull, who provide line-side logistics and supply chain support services to our prestigious clients, have an excellent opportunity for a practiced Project Manager.

 

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract based on-site at our Solihull operation where you will partner with the client and operational teams to lead and coordinate critical projects for new-model launches, therefore we need a project manager who has proven line-side automotive experience.   

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

As the site-based Project Manager, you will be responsible for: 

 

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of projects from planning through to execution and post-launch activities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with the customer ensuring requirements are understood, documented and delivered.
  • Provide regular project updates to internal and external stakeholders, including status reports, presentations and post implementation reviews.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including warehousing, transport and IT, to deliver project objectives on time and on budget.
  • Identify project risks, manage change control and implement contingency plans to ensure project success. 
  • Capture lessons learned sharing with logistics and project teams. 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

 

To be successful in your application you will have proven project management experience within an automotive or logistics environment. You will be proficient in project management tools and methodologies, able to manage multiple projects and priorities ensuring project governance, progress and risk mitigation. 

 

You will be a natural communicator, problem solver and influencer, capable of building strong working relationships both internally and externally. You will hold a project management qualification (Prince2, APM, PMP) and it would be desirable, however not essential if you have a LEAN/Six Sigma or similar process improvement certificate. 


 
Due to the nature of this role, you will have a strong understanding of line-side logistics or automotive and be experienced in engaging with an array of OEMs and suppliers.
