Documentation Officer

As part of its growth and development, CMA CGM Belgium is looking for a Documentation Officer to join its Import team within the Customer Care department.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The main mission for the Documentation Officer is to ensure timely local and international local customs declaration, and complete all documentation transactions not transferred to GBS while complying to legal and Group standard with the aim of continuously achieving customer satisfaction.
More specifically,
- Local customs declaration (if not transferrable to GBS)
- Documentation preparation prior vessel arrival (such as notice of arrival, customs manifest...)
- Follow up of all local customs regulations and formalities, including prevention and investigation of customs penalties
- Check and Manage missing/incorrect Cargo-In-Transit updates
- Coordination with GBS and other internal stakeholders in order to complete documentation queries
We are looking for individuals that have:
- Experience within similar roles within Customer Service / Customer Care
- Great communication skills
- Customer service / user support
- Document management and archiving
- Containers administrative management
- Customer invoicing
- Knowledge of legal and / or regulatory frame
- Knowledge of port / country regulations
- Risk management knowledge
- Incoterms knowledge
- Software / IT Application
