ABOUT THE ROLE

As Equipment Control Officer, you are responsible for the optimal management of equipment within your assigned region. You ensure a correct balance between stock and costs and seek a balance in supply/disposal. 

 

The key responsibilities of the Equipment Control Officer are divided as such :

  • Daily follow-up of stock lists within the region
  • Reconciling depot lists and releasing equipment on time
  • Reporting empty import carrier haulage containers to depot
  • Requesting mis-use references
  • Creating and closing bookings for sister companies and empty shipments
  • Adjusting bookings
  • Create transports for transshipment of empty containers
  • Follow up on overdues
  • Booking and follow-up of containers with ‘special destination'
  • Coordinating with Maintenance & Repair department (raft repairs, special bookings, humidity control, etc.)
  • In the full range of tasks, always aim for the lowest possible stock at the lowest possible cost.

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor/Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of the maritime sector is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English with knowledge of the professional language, both oral and written. Knowledge of French is a plus.
  • You are strong in following up clients and managing your files.
  • You can take the necessary initiatives but know how to set the right priorities at the same time
  • You are result-oriented in your approach
  • You have strong adaptation and problem-solving skills
  • You cooperate in active communication and show a strong team spirit
  • You can work in a service-oriented way
