We are seeking a dedicated Equipment Officer to temporary join our team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Equipment Control Officer, you are responsible for the optimal management of equipment within your assigned region. You ensure a correct balance between stock and costs and seek a balance in supply/disposal.
The key responsibilities of the Equipment Control Officer are divided as such :
- Daily follow-up of stock lists within the region
- Reconciling depot lists and releasing equipment on time
- Reporting empty import carrier haulage containers to depot
- Requesting mis-use references
- Creating and closing bookings for sister companies and empty shipments
- Adjusting bookings
- Create transports for transshipment of empty containers
- Follow up on overdues
- Booking and follow-up of containers with ‘special destination'
- Coordinating with Maintenance & Repair department (raft repairs, special bookings, humidity control, etc.)
- In the full range of tasks, always aim for the lowest possible stock at the lowest possible cost.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor/Master's degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of the maritime sector is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English with knowledge of the professional language, both oral and written. Knowledge of French is a plus.
- You are strong in following up clients and managing your files.
- You can take the necessary initiatives but know how to set the right priorities at the same time
- You are result-oriented in your approach
- You have strong adaptation and problem-solving skills
- You cooperate in active communication and show a strong team spirit
- You can work in a service-oriented way
