About the Role:
Reporting to: General Manager New Zealand
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Work Location: Auckland
As an Operations Manager, you are to lead and oversee all operational activities at CCIS’s (CMA CGM Inland Services) container depot in Wiri, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, compliance with policies, and excellent client service delivery.
The role and responsibilities will include:

Managing the daily operational flow of the container yard

Ensuring all client demands are met efficiently and on time

Coordinating and communicating with workshop, surveyors, and depot teams

Overseeing bookings, quotes, estimates, and invoicing

Ensuring OH&S procedures are followed and enforced across the depot

Conducting staff training, inductions, and internal audits

Organising labour coverage during staff leave and after-hours tasks
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Strong leadership and supervisory experience within a container park or transport operations environment

Excellent communication and team coordination skills

Solid computer literacy including Microsoft Office

Experience in container control, depot operations, or transport/logistics

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with great organisational skills

Forklift operation and/or container surveying experience (desirable)

A commitment to workplace health, safety, and operational compliance
