YOUR ROLE

 

  • Management of a company specializing in the maintenance of port handling equipment consisting of approximately 70 pieces of handling equipment to maintain
  • Close relationships with equipment manufacturers and their representatives
  • Management of the structure in all its technical, human, organizational, and financial dimensions, and organizing the activity with the aim of optimization

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Ensure the maintenance, availability, and reliability of the production tools necessary for terminal operations (RTG, reachstackers, port tractors, etc.) while adhering to safety and equipment availability constraints, with the primary objective of optimizing the overall cost of terminal services.
  • Coordinate the activities of all departments, particularly organizing maintenance (preventive or corrective) to ensure maximum equipment availability.
  • Define priorities and important operations to be planned with department heads and optimize the activity of the maintenance workshop.
  • Report periodically on activities and provide regular updates to general management on events and the company's progress through KPI monitoring.
  • Ensure cost/performance optimization of the maintenance function through optimization actions and the implementation of performance indicators.
  • Monitor the billing of maintenance services to clients.
  • Ensure the financial balance of the company and provide monthly financial reports.
  • Decide on significant expenditure commitments in consultation with the general manager and ensure the control of maintenance costs.
  • Perform pre-control and entry of purchase invoices of all kinds.
  • Ensure the preservation and compliance with regulatory requirements of the equipment.
  • Ensure the implementation of tools for carrying out maintenance operations.
  • Ensure proper management of spare parts and stock.
  • Ensure the maintenance of workstations, the workshop, common areas, and equipment (tools, vehicles, etc.) in good condition.
  • Supervise human resource management, identify professional training needs, and ensure the maintenance of a proper social climate.
  • Ensure compliance with safety conditions (signage, wearing PPE, etc.), hygiene, and environmental protection (waste sorting, soil pollution, etc.).
  • Responsible for defining and adhering to the investment and operating budget of the maintenance center.

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • Master in engineering degree such as in Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanics, Maintenance,
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, particularly in a technical/maintenance management role in the port sector
  • Excellent knowledge required in electricity, power electronics, mechanics, and computer tools
  • Knowledge of lifting and handling equipment
  • Management knowledge
  • Experience in maintenance and CMMS tools
  • Management of technical teams and interpersonal and negotiation skills related to social dialogue
  • Rigorous, initiative-taking, dynamic, team player, priority management, good communicator
  • English and French required
