Agency Cluster CCO (Chief Commercial Officer)

For our office in Barcelona, we are looking for a: Agency Cluster CCO (f/m/d) with a team of 76 employees in Spain and with functional reporting from the CCO Portugal, reporting to the Cluster GM.

 

THE ROLE AND MISSION:

• The CCO is responsible to set up, organize, and drive sales teams to follow up the customer portfolio and identify growth opportunities within their area.

• Develop commercial activities according to the objectives set by the Group.

• Validate and challenge business action plan developed by Sales Manager.

• Implement management tools to follow sales teams’ performances as per the group strategy, and proactively implementing corrective actions when necessary.

• Promote products and services to customers and prospects.

• Analyse market statistics on a regular basis and report to the General Management and teams based in Regional Office.

 

AS CLUSTER CCO:

• Coordinate and align commercial strategies across the various countries within the cluster, considering the unique economic, cultural, and regulatory factors of each.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration between Sales Managers responsible for daughter countries (Portugal), ensuring a unified approach to achieve cluster-wide objectives.

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of Sales Managers in charge of daughter countries, providing guidance and support to enhance their effectiveness.

• Oversee market research and analysis for the entire cluster, providing insights to inform strategic decision making and identify new growth opportunities.

• Act as the primary point of contact for higher-level strategic discussions and decision.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyse market identification by trade.

• Perform customer segmentation.

• Define & pilot commercial strategy (budget, action plan…).

• Manage IFF, GA and local VIP tenders.

• Report to Lines issues related to pricing, routing.

• Build & analyse vessel profiles.

• Produce commercial forecasts.

• Set up, organize, and drive sales teams to follow up the customer portfolio and identify growth opportunities within their area.

PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years as an Account Manager

• 5+ years of Sales Leadership experience managing a big team.

• Strong Knowledge in Shipping (minimum 10+ Years of experience in liner shipping).

• Excellent Leadership skills.

• Effective communication skills (Ability to articulate various business scenarios with customers, senior business leaders & middle management) Demonstration of professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to manage stress through challenging situations.

• Must be able to prioritize work effectively and manage time efficiently.

• Previous experience in Salesforce platform.

• Analytical mindset with ability to use data to dive decision making.

• Excellent result focus.
