Mission : 

 

As a key member of the Human Resources Department within the Shipping Division of the CMA CGM Group, the Regional Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Manager will coordinate, harmonize, and implement the Group’s C&B policy across the assigned region. The role acts as a strategic advisor to operational teams on an international scale and supports the Shipping Division’s C&B team with reporting and analytics.

 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Ensure external competitiveness and internal equity of C&B structures using market analysis and monitoring tools.
  • Work closely with regional HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to identify priorities and support the HR strategy of the Shipping Division.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, recommending adjustments to compensation, allocations, and benefits to meet the Division’s specific needs.
  • Manage the renewal of health and provident insurance contracts within the region4.
  • Contribute to payroll budget preparation and support the Group’s salary review process.
  • Advise stakeholders on C&B-related decision-making, ensuring local practices align with Group strategy, identifying risks, and proposing solutions.

 

Profile and Skills : 

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Compensation & Benefits within a large international group or specialized consultancy.
  • Strong financial and general HR knowledge.
  • Advanced skills in reporting tools (e.g., Qliksense) and MS Excel.
  • Experience with job evaluation and grading methodologies (e.g., WTW, Mercer, Korn Ferry) is preferred.
  • Rigorous, methodical, and highly organized approach to work4.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and the ability to build consensus and foster teamwork.
  • HR/Compensation certification is a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  • Strong affinity for working with data and figures.
  • Ideally holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or Business.
