Cash Application Specialist is responsible for processing and applying incoming payments to customer accounts in an accurate and timely manner. This role plays a key part in the accounts receivable process by ensuring proper reconciliation of customer payments, handling unapplied cash, and resolving payment discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately apply daily incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) to customer accounts.

• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate unapplied or misapplied payments.

• Coordinate with internal teams (collections, sales, billing) to resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain up-to-date records in the AR system and ensure audit readiness.

• Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations.

• Assist with month-end closing and reporting activities.

• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payment status.
