eCommerce Manager

Reporting To : General Manager – Project Management.

Short brief on role


The eCommerce Manager is the regional representative of CMA CGM HO eBusiness department, responsible 
to promote and implement the group’s global eBusiness strategy across group’s customer network in 
coordination with the local agencies in the region.


Key Responsibilities


• Define regional eCommerce strategy in liaison with HO and local agency managements.
• Maintain strategic relationships with local agency management, channel service providers and key 
customers in the region for effective representation and implementation of global group eBusiness 
objectives and strategy.
• Ensure awareness of the group’s eCommerce products and tools and ensure adequate training 
imparted across the agency and customer network.
• Achieve optimization amongst channel usage and ensure maximum cost-effectiveness for the group 
vis-à-vis eCommerce utilization.
• Ownership of regional eCommerce targets assigned by HO.
• Drive eCommerce team to ensure achievement of global and regional objectives and targets.
• Regular updates to HO on regional market trends, new products / enhancements and customer & 
competitor strategies.


Key Performance Standards


• Regional E-TEUs and E-BL growth vs. global target.
• Growth in eCustomer base and effective customer retention.
• Rationalize customer usage of external service providers.
• eBusiness Platform – regional marketing & promotional efforts.
• New Projects / Products – idea conceptualization and development.


Requirements And Specific Skills:


• Post graduate degree with a minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in commercial or service 
delivery domains, preferably from the maritime industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with proven administrative and reporting skills.
• Good negotiation and managerial skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and concepts within short period of time.
• Willing to travel for agency / customer meetings, promotional drives and training sessions
