Sales Manager (H/F) CMA CGM Senegal

MISSION 

 

Reporting to the Sales Director, your main mission will be to steer the CMA CGM Group's sales strategy and coordinate all sales activities. 

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 Contribute to the development of the sales budget and ensure that objectives are met.

  • Coordinate a team of sales representatives reporting to him/her
  • Develop and maintain a customer portfolio (information and competition watch, customer prospecting, sales promotion and reporting).
  • Regularly update NOVA (visits, targets, opportunities, leads, benchmarks, etc.) and update the teams in charge.
  • Use NOVA as a tool to manage and animate the team in charge.
  • Receive and visit customers actively and regularly according to the frequency determined with the Sales Manager.
  • Weekly transmission of dry bookings forecasts, monitoring of loading up to shipment, updating and transmission of quotations, winning back lost accounts.
  • Record freight requests collected for export. Send the agreement request to the port of discharge and obtain their agreement or payment of a deposit for all or part of the freight before booking validation.
  • Record each quotation request, use AQUA as a tool to generate the quotation and communicate the freight amount to the customer as soon as the rate is received via NOVA.
  • Record demurrage discounts in the demurrage summary table and send the table to sales management at the beginning of each week.
  • Ensure reporting and write comments for the monthly Commercial Dashboard.
  • Edit statistics by Trade and all documents enabling the smooth running of the commercial activity.
  • Draw up Brand transit time tables transmitted by the line and inform customers.
  • Inform customers about the position of their containers in relation to loading and transshipment ports, logistics services and port operations.

 

PROFILE & COMPETENCEIES

 

  • 5 years' higher education with specialization in transport and logistics, marketing and sales, economics and management, statistics. 
  • Good knowledge of the shipping business. 
  • At least three (03) years' professional experience in a similar position with significant results.
  • Very high level of proficiency in computerized management tools and appropriate software (particularly Excel, advanced level). 
  • Excellent analytical skills (statistics, market, economic data, etc.).
  • Rigor, organization, proactivity, self-control, punctuality, good interpersonal skills, boldness and creativity, leadership, communication and influence.
  • Good negotiating skills. 
  • Bilingual French / English
