THE ROLE
You are positioned as a Business Developer, in Djibouti, within our local CMA CGM DJIBOUTI structure.
As part of Horn of Africa Cluster, covering Djibouti and Ethiopia, and reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Group's development in a number of activities, both sea and inland.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In collaboration with the Agency Manager, local sales teams and relevant regional & head office departments, you will participate in the development of the following activities:
- Ensure the Line pricing policy is applied by agents.
- Market Analysis and Commercial reports and strategic presentations for HOA Cluster
- Optimize budget results and the loading capacity of vessels.
- Ensure a marketing follow-up as an expert of your area.
- Draw up market research, statistics and regularly communicate Key Performance Indicators to the Line Management and DRO management
- Commercial coordination with HO/DRO and local management of sales for both controlled countries under cluster (ET/DJ) to develop the portfolio
- Follow-up of Group and Local Key Accounts (ESL)
- Make a competitive intelligence and give recommendations.
- Participate in the definition of boarding priorities.
- Help drawing up the sales budget under the supervision of the Manager and analyse sales budget results and variances in order to propose corrective actions.
- Follow-up of Allocations and Performances.
- Commercial and operational follow-up of the Eritrea, Somalia & Somaliland (yet to be confirmed once DRO announcement)
- VAS Champion: ensure VAS budget is well applied and support & challenge HOA sales to achieve it
- Nova and Aqua Key User: support and training for implementation of new sales working tools within the cluster
PROFILE & COMPETENCIES
In accordance with Article L122-1 of the French National Service Code, only candidates aged between 18 and 28 who are European nationals are eligible for this VIE assignment.
- 5 years of higher education (Bac+5) in a business school (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, EM Lyon...) or major university, you are fluent both in French and English.
- First experience in Commercial and knowledge about the shipping industry is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good adaptability and a desire to develop and successfully complete projects are essential for this mission.
- Previous experience in Africa would be an additional asset to fully succeed in this mission, which represents a springboard for a career within our Group.
