M&R Control Officer

Role:

Your responsibilities focus primarily on being responsible for the M&R settlement of the CMA CGM container fleet in the following Countries within the network: Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Ukraine, Cyprus, Lebanon, and Syria.

 

Job Description:

  • Evaluating and assessing the different repair estimates and decide on the further trajectory of the container, such as repair, claim, evacuate, off-hire, sell.
  • Scheduling physical surveys or audits at our depots.
  • Monitor and Maintain the M&R cost for all locations within the Region Scope.
  • Visiting depots to discuss our CMA CGM M&R procedures.
  • Ensures rate and estimate integration within the CMA CGM M&R system.
  • Holding parties accountable and recovering damages to empty containers (import & export). This includes depots, terminals, carriers, customers, or other parties that can be held responsible for the costs.
  • Recovering depot damages and/or improper repairs.
  • You will be responsible for empty damage claims in Turkey.
  • Frequent communication with commercial and logistics departments.
  • Developing yourself in the field of maintenance & repair tasks.
  • Working closely with our headquarters to implement procedures and guidelines.
  • Managing and monitoring empty damage claims.
  • Analysing and reporting on recovered claims.
  • Associated administrative tasks, such as invoicing.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree graduation,
  • Proven experience in Container Maintenance and Repair; therefore knowledge of container, reefer, and unit repairs,
  • Education IICL5 or IICL6 is a pre,
  • General knowledge of and experience within the maritime industry,
  • Effective communication skills (Ability to articulate various business scenarios with customers, senior business leaders & middle management),
  • Demonstration of professional demeanour, positive attitude, and ability to manage stress through challenging situations,
  • Customer-oriented, reliable, stress-resistant, independent working method, problem-solving ability, and proactive behaviour,
  • Ability to work with current technology and the most common software,
  • Good command of English, both verbal and written; required to communicate with global teams (part of the interview will take place in English),
  • Knowledge in MS Office Applications (especially in Excel).
