HR Senior Officer

Position Overview:

As an HR Senior Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the HR operations within the company, ensuring compliance with labor laws, overseeing recruitment and training efforts, and fostering employee engagement. Your expertise and support will contribute directly to the continued growth and success of our company in the global shipping industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • To conduct the operational implementation of Group HR policy on their perimeter (e.g. recruitment, internal mobility, promotion, succession plan, performance management, people review, employee engagement, salary, compensation & benefits, disciplinary files)
  • To advise and support managers on HR, organizational, social and managerial topics
  • To support staff members in their individual development and evolution within the Group through the training actions and career plan development
  • To propose and/or implement policies, process and tools to innovate and develop HR practices
  • To manage labor relations in their scope resolving workplace disputes, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and agreements
  • To foster a positive work culture by promoting employee well-being and engagement programs.
  • To ensure payroll, compensation, benefits and staff administration are in line with legal rules
  • To follow-up quantitative and qualitative headcounts evolution in their scope

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a shipping or logistics environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and industry regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with HR software is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proactive approach, and the ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Fluency in English is a plus.
