YOUR ROLE
Under the IT Operations department and Head of SHIPS IT, the Admin IT Expert / SRE is responsible for IT on Vessels.
• Ownership of Vessel IT Infrastructure Solutions: Ensure the effective support and availability of the full IT infrastructures on board, including connectivity and applications for vessels.
• Accountable of IT Operations and delivery of IT services to the vessels.
• Provide technical support (single point of contact to ships) for vessel applications and IT Systems.
• Manage day to day production activities & shipboard IT projects implementation in line with IT Governance Standards and Cyber Security guidelines.
• Ensure the good IT systems implementation and maintenance as per Vessel IT Security policies and Cyber Security guidelines onboard vessels.
• Manage priorities, alerts and escalations.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
• Vessel commissioning / decommissioning.
• Business needs and request qualifications.
• Manage priorities in backlog activities (build, support, incident/problems…)
• Obsolescence, capacity and vulnerabilities management.
• Critical incidents and problems management: technical analysis, coordination in incident resolution, RCA
• Maintain quality of service.
• Monitoring systems performance and troubleshooting reported problems.
• Coordinate maintenance services on board though various service suppliers.
• Liaise / Interface between vendors, ship crews, customers and cybersecurity teams.
• Provide process for industrialization, monitoring, backup / recovery and security
• Create, maintain documentation & procedure (Shipboard solftware, systems maintenance, indus…)
• Configuration Audit and Continuous Improvement Plan management
TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT
• Operation Systems Administration (Windows, VM, Linux, macOS)
• Help Desk ticketing Systems : ServiceNow…
• Network Troubleshooting and Configuration (Switch, FW, wifi/LAN…)
• Cybersecurity Best Practices and Protocols.
• Scripting and Automation.
• Hardware Diagnostics and Repair.
• Monitoring, Alerting and Log Management.
• This position also requires great availability and can be need some 24/7 actions
