Alternance - Cost Control Officer

THE ROLE :

 

The Logistics Cost Control team is looking for a motivated, goal-oriented team member to get involved in tool development and improvement projects, logistics cost audit assignments and much more, on a global scale! Your skills in Excel, Access and your knowledge of databases will be major assets to our team, in order to develop optimized monitoring of logistics costs. 

 


RESPONSIBILITIES :

 

As part of the Logistics Cost Control team, you will be responsible for the following tasks :

  • OPEX monitoring: identify and analyze cost drifts through periodic OPEX reporting or ad hoc audit requests: escalate alerts, define a cost optimization action plan and monitor implementation, with the Agency's worldwide network, Regional Offices and Headquarters. 
  • Savings budget: monitor savings initiatives by engaging with action owners in the Regional Offices and Agency network, support the promotion of best practices across all stakeholders.
  • Help in setting up automated monitoring tools to improve visibility on cost performance, and support in tracking logistics KPIs from operational and financial databases. 
  • Various value-added assignments according to management needs. 

 


PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

 

  • You have a degree or are currently studying (+3 years) in finance, logistics or transport. Ideally, you already have some practical experience; previous auditing experience would be a plus. 
  • You are looking for a work-study position and are ready to join CMA CGM's Logistics department for 2 years. 
  • Fluent English and advanced Excel skills are preferred for this position. 

 

This position is a good opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and put your logical mind and analytical skills to good use. 
You are problem-solving oriented, have good writing and summarizing skills, are a self-starter and have good interpersonal skills. You are open-minded and enjoy working with multiple cultures.
