Apprenticeship - Area manager

ROLE

 

Within the sales team, you will help to optimize vessel occupancy in your assigned sales zone. 
In line with your manager's directives, you enforce the commercial and pricing policy in your zone, supporting your team.  
 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

First and foremost, you will coordinate a network of local agents in a given area, ensuring that they apply the pricing policy defined by your manager, and handling all quotation requests from agents or customers.
In this context, you are in charge of optimizing sales performance and vessel capacity utilization.


As a real expert in your area, you will record and analyze the volumes loaded on ships, in liaison with sales managers and agents.  

As part of your zone's business development, you are in charge of marketing follow-up and market research (competitive situation, product studies, product seasonality, etc.). You analyze the results and submit proposals to your management.

 

You also monitor your area's performance indicators, which you report regularly to your management; and analyze any deviations from the sales budget in order to propose corrective actions. 

 

 

PROFILE & SKILLS

 

You are currently doing a postgraduate degree in Business, Logistic or Transport and have a first experience in business or marketing activities.

You have ideally a first professional experience in sales or marketing. You are perfectly at ease working in French and English, and handle figures and Excel on a daily basis. You are organized, autonomous and able to take relevant initiatives. 

 

Your interpersonal and communication skills enable you to work as part of a team and defend the best interests of your area.  
You can adapt quickly and bounce back to manage operational priorities and respond to emergency situations.
