ROLE

 

Within the dedicated Project Cargo Division, you will ensure and manage the overall business development of special transportation projects for oversized and heavy lift cargoes across a particular group of lines and trades.
This position will develop and implement both commercial strategies and pricing policies to drive business growth for the Group. It seeks to work closely with all parties across the CMA CGM Group organisation, to facilitate the smooth handling of all project cargoes across the end-to-end process.

 


RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Reporting to the VIP Desk Manager and in close contact with line management, you will assist the team in planning and implementing a commercial and pricing policy for our oversized and heavy haulage segment.

In this context, you :
•    Participate in technical and operational studies on the shipment of project cargoes, and work on quotations to provide customers with a commercial offer.
•    Participate in the management of entire projects from customer request to operational execution. 
•    Monitor and ensure effective coordination between the various stakeholders: sales, ship operations, port terminals, surveyors, customers, etc. 
•    Ensure operational follow-up and coordination of freight operations.
•    Manage and support the agent network to help them promote our service offerings and capabilities, thereby optimizing their performance and achieving their sales targets.
•    Monitor the development of the project cargo customer portfolio and participate in the negotiation of commercial offers with strategic customers.
•    Produce analytical reports and assess the impact of these developments on the Division and regularly report performance indicators to your manager, including corrective actions.
•    Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and business plan.
•    Participate in transfo projects and processes. 

 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

You have a Master's degree from a business or engineering school, with a specialization in International Trade/Logistics or Transport.
Ideally, you have some initial experience in international trade, supply chain, pricing or ship operations. 
A good knowledge of operational activities or experience of project cargo would be an asset.
You are fluent in English and have a good command of IT tools, particularly Excel.
You are highly customer-oriented and have good interpersonal skills, which will enable you to succeed in your role and take up new challenges within our Group.
