Apprenticeship - Containers maintenance & repair Officer

THE ROLE


As a member of the Container Fleet Division, you will help to improve the effectiveness of our network and the efficiency of our container fleet.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES


Within the Container Fleet Department, you will be responsible for :

 

  • Studying the performance of different models of reefer (refrigerated containers). Purchase of new equipment or use of existing equipment using the new gases that international regulations requiring the replacement of the HFCs currently in use are pushing us to adopt. Your task will be to quantify the impact of these developments on equipment performance. 

 

  • Monitoring repairs to all types of containers. This role involves: 
    • Checking and approving quotations 
    • Analysis of repair expenditure to optimize costs
    • Collection of data on non-compliant repairs (centralization), verification/correction in CMA CGM's internal repair management software.
    • Follow-up with local manager to implement corrective actions, follow-up, possible sanctions
    • Budget monitoring
    • Construction of repair control tools to link with sales activity.

 

  • Support for the deployment of our new communication and archiving system. Drafting procedures for distribution. Help formalize communication between the M&R teams at head office and the network of M&R experts in the branches.

 

  • Participation in managing the Group's container fleet and monitoring network performance. Follow-up of fleet equipment modification campaigns.

 


PROFILE & SKILLS

 

  • Ideally, you have a technical background at Master's level in mechanics, energy or refrigeration technology. 
  • You also have a keen interest in budget monitoring, reporting and supply chain issues. A Master's degree in supply chain or a dual technical/commercial profile could also be a good match for this position. 
  • Ideally, you will have some initial professional experience relevant to the job. 
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in French would be a plus. 
  • You have a perfect command of IT tools, particularly Excel and Power Point.
  • You enjoy teamwork and are particularly at ease in an international and multicultural working environment.
  • Rigor, precision and dynamism are essential qualities for this position.
