Apprenticeship - Project Officer - R&D Air Division

THE ROLE

 

As an R&D Air logistic engineer apprentice, you will be acting as project manager to boost the delivery and implementation of solutions. In this role, you drive the focus on CMA CGM’s priorities, assess and implement efficiency and decarbonization solutions applicable to the Air assets and operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The R&D Air Logistic engineer will:

  • Test and develop with makers or start-up solutions for the business units of the group requiring its expertise (Air Cargo, CEVA logistic…)
  • Ensure regulatory monitoring related to decarbonization in the aerospace sector and propose innovative solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of our systems
  • Assist the R&D Air Manager on the decarbonization roadmap
  • Contribute to identify, test and implement Operational upgrades with the aim to be more efficient and to reduce air and acoustic emissions
  • Research and implement solutions for Predictive maintenance
  • Assess available features in the navigation / positioning / Comm-Sat domain
  • Study eAirCargo logistics solutions (i.e. eVTOL, eCargo Planes, UAM, etc.)
  • Set up a technology scouting process & network for best-in-class solutions in air logistics
  • In coordination with R&D energy and bunkering departments
  • Will be involved in studying and assessing investments in Low carbon fuels solutions

 

 

PROFILE & COMPETENCIES

 

  • You are currently completing an engineering degree in aeronautical sciences and/or air transport, profile specialized in mechanics, electromechanics, industrial maintenance or energy at Master 1 or 2 level
  • You are passionate about innovation and energy transition
  • You can demonstrate successful experiences in managing projects, technology roll-out and collaboration with makers
  • Knowledge required:
    • At ease with Excel, for energy-related calculation (power, consumption, forecast etc...) and Power Point presentations
    • Skilled in Project Management and reporting
    • Good knowledge of Aircraft / drones and associated operations, maintenance
    • Languages: working language is English (level C1 to C2 necessary), a good level of French would be an asset (C1 level). 

 

  • As a plus:
    • Experience with aero-related digital / data analysis project
    • Experience with Aero-related software
    • Knowledge on sustainable fuelS
    • Knowledgeable in aircraft/drone regulations
